Prestons Health

Development post: Clinical Director Co-Pilot (Employed)

Description

About the job

We are looking for a Chartered and HCPC Registered Physiotherapist with an interest in MSK to join the team here at Prestons Health.

This is a new development role for a curious and innovative Physiotherapist to develop their clinical, leadership and business skills in private practice working closely with and being mentored by our Clinical Director, Helen Preston. You will be working as a Co-Pilot.

You’ll work in clinical practice with our patients here at Prestons Health within our existing clinic here at David Lloyd Club in Peterborough. You will also collaborate with Helen Preston and the team to re-launch existing clinics in the local market towns of  Oundle and Stamford post Covid lockdown. You’ll work with our patients and our team to refine our patient journey. The work is fun, varied and challenging.

Your role will have the patient at heart.

What is Prestons Health?

Prestons Health is a private physiotherapy and alied healthcare business in Peterborough, (Cambridgeshire) which helps patients in pain get back to doing what they love.

It has been slowly evolving in the City since 1969 under the watchful eye of 3 generations of Physiotherapists and is still going strong in 2021 with a small but friendly team of healthcare practitioners, support staff and business professionals.

We value delivering evidence informed practice in a patient centric way, the importance of the patient’s individual story and offering them collaborative treatment solutions. We’re focused on delivering great physiotherapy and we take pride in making a difference in people’s lives.

Requirements

ABOUT YOU

It goes without saying you are an excellent communicator and a people person. You have a passion to deliver physiotherapy in a holistic, system wide approach with your patients. You also have an interest in developing your skills in how this all fits in a successful and sustainable business model.

Experience matters, but we won’t insist on a set number of years qualified or a set NHS banding grade. You must simply care about delivering excellent patient care in line with best practice and be incessantly curious about developing further clinical and business skillsets. You are member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy and registered with the Health Care Professions Council.

Personally, you must love working as part of a team and bringing a sense of humour to work. You must also value the benefits of learning more about yourself in a supportive and compassionate environment.

No matter what your background is, or how you identify, if you feel you meet the requirements, we encourage you to apply.  We are committed to developing a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Thanks Helen for the help and advice you have given me over the recent months enabling me to recover from my back injury and sciatica. Both issues had lasted for 5 months with various visits to Osteopaths & a Chiropractor along the way with no recovery in site. My G.P suggested that physio would be the right option to take and recommended Preston's Health. By this time my confidence was low and I was thinking how long was this ordeal going to last for. From my first apppointment with you I had a good feeling and an end was in site with the exercise programs I followed. It was also the conversations we had about the injury and the sciatica that made me feel I was definately going to recover soon with patience and that's exactly what happened. I had made a determined effort to follow all the guidance and encouragement you gave me, I stuck to the plan and it worked, so many thanks for that Helen. I am continuing with the exercices and building up my overall physical strength daily so that hopefully I won't have to experience this kind of set back in the future. Once again many thanks for all of your help its been greatly appreciated. Regards Jeff

Helene Preston is extremely knowledgeable, she has on two occasions assisted in my recovery from injury and one of those occasions pointed out an issue with medication prescribed by my doctor which averted possible side affects. also directly contacted the nhs on my behalf recommending further scans were needed and assisted in bringing my nhs appointment forward.

I had a great experience with Prestons and Rachael Baker diagnosed a meniscal knee trauma. Rachael was very knowledgeable and professional and the clinic is really neat and tidy within David Lloyd.

Had a consultation with Rachel today to diagnose and treat a cycling injury. She was very attentive, very thorough and extremely professional in her approach. This is the second time I've consulted Prestons Health and I've been really happy with their service. Recommended.

I managed to get an emergency same day appointment for a strained achilles tendon. Rachel was professional, thorough and worked wonders in just one session. After a deep massage, I had much more movement in my ankle and the swelling has reduced significantly in 24 hours. I would highly recommend them for physio.

I have seen various physios for different injuries and Prestons Health were by far the best. Extremely professional and thorough when assessing my injury. It is too soon to tell if they will be able to fix my injury but I am very optimistic based upon the service provided so far.

Effective sports massage, concentrating on my legs this time, due to a muscle injury. I felt much better the following day and even played hockey.
